The Hotel Europejski is a tourist-class establishment located in the heart of Krakow, only minutes to the main train station and the central Market Square. The owners fought valiantly to save their family business, but ultimately lost it to the national government. In the lean years of communist rule, the hotel fell into ruin, and it was not until 1991, after the fall of the Iron Curtain, that it was finally returned to the descendents of its rightful owners.
